E.V.P - Electronic Voice Phenomenon
The Short History - Thomas Edison made a good attempt to communicate with those that had passed over.
He had worked on devices that he had hoped would help him make contact. Unfortunatly he died before he could
complete his work.
Others followed in Edison's footsteps. It wasn't until 1936 when Attila Szalay caught spirit voices on a phonograph
recorder. That's when the phenomenon began.
In 1959, Friedrich Juergenson, an archeologist, philospher, lingust and painter was commissioned by Pope Pius XII. Jurgenson's
interest in Electronic Voice Phenomena apparently began when, after having recorded bird songs with a tape recorder, he could
hear human voices on the tapes, even though there had been no one in the vicinity.
The Scientific - It is
clear-cut that it is nothing more than hearing patterns or finding of
significance or connections between random or meaningless sounds, such
as white noise and interpreting them into voices due to low-quality
equipment, and simple hoaxes.
The Paranormal - E.V.Ps occur when the voices of a spirit interrupts an electro-magnetic field (E.M.F.).
By using a micro cassette recorder these voices can be more easily heard. The audio recorder uses magnets to
record onto the tape. When an E.M.F field is interrupted by paranormal activity it records sounds that are normally
not detected by the human ear.
